God Loves You

The Bible tells us that God loves us deeply and desires a relationship with us.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
— John 3:16

God created us to know Him, love Him, and live in relationship with Him. His love for us is demonstrated through Jesus Christ.

We Have All Sinned

Although God loves us, our sin separates us from Him.

Sin is more than simply making mistakes. Sin is choosing our own way instead of God's way. Every one of us has sinned.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
— Romans 3:23

The consequence of sin is separation from God.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
— Romans 6:23

We cannot make ourselves right with God through good works, religion, morality, or simply trying harder.

Jesus Christ Is God's Answer

God did not leave us without hope. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to save us from our sins.

Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life. He willingly died on the cross, taking the punishment our sins deserved.

“But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8

Jesus died, was buried, and rose again on the third day.

His resurrection demonstrated His victory over sin and death and gives us the hope of eternal life.

Salvation Is a Gift

We are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ—not because we have earned it.

“For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift—not from works, so that no one can boast.”
— Ephesians 2:8–9

To receive God's gift of salvation, we must turn from our sin and place our faith in Jesus Christ.

The Bible calls this repentance and faith.

Jesus said:

“Repent and believe the good news!”
— Mark 1:15

What Does It Mean to Believe in Jesus?

Believing in Jesus means more than simply knowing about Him. It means trusting Him as your Savior and Lord.

We acknowledge that we are sinners, believe that Jesus died and rose again for our salvation, turn from our sin, and surrender our lives to Him.

“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
— Romans 10:9

God promises that everyone who calls on Jesus in faith will be saved.

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
— Romans 10:13

You Can Respond to Jesus Today

If you have never trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you can turn to Him today.

There is no special formula or set of words that saves you. Salvation comes through God's grace and genuine faith in Jesus Christ.

You can express your faith to God in prayer. For example:

“God, I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and place my faith in Jesus. I ask You to forgive me and save me. I surrender my life to Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for Your grace, Your forgiveness, and the gift of eternal life. Amen.”

If you have sincerely placed your faith in Jesus Christ, the Bible assures you that you belong to Him.
