At our church, ministry is a shared calling. Every team exists to help people know Christ, grow in faith, and serve others. Explore the teams below to discover where you can connect and make a difference.

Leadership Team

Purpose: Provide spiritual, strategic, and organizational guidance for the church, supporting the pastor and coordinating ministry efforts.

What They Do:

• Pray for and support the Senior Pastor

• Help set ministry goals and evaluate progress

• Coordinate communication between ministry teams

• Assist with planning church‑wide initiatives

• Provide counsel on major decisions

• Strengthen unity and alignment across all ministries

Who Serves: Pastor, Deacon Chair, Ministry Team Leaders, and Personnel Team Representative (or as defined by your church

Deacon Ministry

Purpose: Serve the church through practical ministry and member care.

What They Do:

• Care for widows, elderly, and families in need

• Assist with Lord’s Supper and baptisms

• Support the pastor

• Provide prayer and encouragement

Join This Team: Deacons (nominated and affirmed by the church)

Worship & Music Ministry

Purpose: Lead our congregation in Christ‑centered worship through music, Scripture, and prayer.

What They Do:

• Plan weekly worship services

• Lead music and congregational singing

• Manage sound, media, and livestream

• Encourage a culture of worship and excellence

Join This Team: Musicians, vocalists, sound techs, media volunteers

Finance & Stewardship

Purpose: Manage church finances with integrity and transparency.

What They Do:

• Budget planning

• Offering counting and reporting

• Financial record‑keeping

• Stewardship education

Join This Team: Counters, treasurer assistants, finance helpers

Personnel Team

Purpose: Support the church by helping select, evaluate, and encourage staff and key volunteer leaders with wisdom, fairness, and prayerful discernment.

What They Do:

• Assist the church in hiring, evaluating, and supporting staff

• Provide accountability and encouragement for ministry leaders

• Review job descriptions and recommend updates

• Help resolve personnel‑related concerns with grace and confidentiality

• Ensure policies and procedures reflect biblical values and legal best practices

• Promote a healthy, unified ministry culture

Join This Team: Members with spiritual maturity, discretion, and a heart for supporting church leadership (typically appointed or elected)

Discipleship & Education

Purpose: Equip believers to grow in biblical knowledge and spiritual maturity.

What They Do:

• Oversee Sunday School and small groups

• Train teachers and group leaders

• Provide discipleship resources

• Promote Bible reading and spiritual growth

Children’s Ministry

Purpose: Partner with families to teach children the gospel in a safe, loving environment.

What They Do:

• Nursery, preschool, and children’s church

• VBS and seasonal events

• Safety and check‑in procedures

• Parent communication

Student / Youth Ministry

Purpose: Disciple students to know Christ, grow in faith, and live on mission.

What They Do:

• Weekly youth gatherings

• Camps, retreats, and mission projects

• Mentoring and relationship‑building

• Parent partnership

Join This Team: Adult leaders, event helpers, mentors

Senior Adult Ministry Team

Purpose: Encourage, support, and disciple senior adults through fellowship, care, and spiritual growth opportunities.

What They Do:

• Plan monthly gatherings, Bible studies, and outings

• Provide care for homebound members and widows

• Coordinate prayer and encouragement ministries

• Support seniors during life transitions and health challenges

• Integrate senior adults into broader church life and service

• Partner with deacons and pastoral staff for member care

Join This Team: Volunteers with a heart for older adults, compassion, and a desire to foster connection and spiritual vitality

Outreach & Evangelism

Purpose: Lead our church in sharing the gospel and serving our community.

What They Do:

• Community outreach events

• Visitor follow‑up- Evangelism training

• Local partnerships and service projects

Join This Team: Event volunteers, follow‑up callers, outreach helpers

Missions Ministry

Purpose: Support local, national, and international missions.

What They Do:

• Missionary partnerships

• Mission offerings (Lottie Moon, Annie Armstrong)

• Mission trips and service opportunities

• Prayer support

Join This Team: Mission advocates, trip volunteers, prayer partners

Hospitality & Welcome Team

Purpose: Create a warm, welcoming environment for guests and members.

What They Do:

• Greeters and ushers

• Welcome center support

• Coffee and hospitality setup

• Visitor follow‑up

Join This Team: Greeters, ushers, hospitality volunteers

Fellowship & Events

Purpose: Strengthen relationships through meals, gatherings, and celebrations.

What They Do:

• Church meals and holiday events

• Decorating and setup

• Event planning and coordination

Facilities & Grounds

Purpose: Care for our church building and property so ministry can thrive.

What They Do:

• Cleaning and maintenance

• Lawn care and landscaping

• Workdays and repairs

• Event setup
